  • A day earlier, he posted photos of himself and Vice President Joe Biden.
  • The White House confirmed that the president tested positive for the virus.

Rep. Jake Auchincloss, a Dem congressman from Massachusetts, tested negative for COVID-19 on Thursday, a day after he posted pictures of himself and Vice President Joe Biden.

Auchincloss and Biden went on a trip together on Wednesday. On Thursday, the White House said that the president had tested positive for COVID-19.

Auchincloss and Biden were with the president when he spoke about climate change in the congressman’s home state of Massachusetts.

The congressman sent out a couple of photos he took on Air Force One with Vice President Biden. In both pictures, the two men were close together, and in one of them, they were shaking hands.

As part of routine testing, White House doctor Kevin O’Connor said Thursday that Biden had tested positive for COVID-19 and was suffering from “mild symptoms” like a runny nose, tiredness, and a dry cough.

Biden has had all of his shots and has had two booster shots. Dr. O’Connor suggested that Paxlovid be used to treat him.

Thursday afternoon, First Lady Jill Biden said that the president was “doing fine” and “feeling good” and that she had tested negative for the virus.

Thursday, President Biden sent out a tweet saying, “People, I’m doing great.”

A white House official told that Vice President Kamala Harris had tested negative. The last time Harris saw the president was on Tuesday.
