A recently married woman was discovered dead in a hotel room, and the husband was suspected of fleeing the scene.
Bradley Robert Dawson, 38, and Christe Chen Dawson, 39, were on a lavish honeymoon in Fiji when she was discovered dead.
Following Christe’s alleged murder on July 9, Bradley is the main suspect, according to the Fijian court.
The suspected murder allegedly took place at Fiji’s Turtle Island Resort in the Yasawa Islands, a luxurious five-star resort.
The Daily Mail reports that although the husband was “nowhere to be located” at the crime site, police eventually apprehended and detained him.
Iqbal Khan, the lawyer for Bradley, told FOX13 that although Christe’s body was discovered in a hotel room, he was unable to determine how she passed away.

According to his attorney, Bradley contends that he is innocent of all charges levelled against him.
The Fiji Sun stated that on July 13, the spouse from Memphis, Tennessee, came before the Magistrates Court in Lautoka.
The High Court, where his bail would be decided, was then given custody of him.
Bradley was asked to provide a DNA sample as well, but he declined, according to the news source.
The High Court must order forensic tests, which could give the prosecution another opportunity to collect DNA evidence.
Bradley was scheduled to spend 14 days in detention as of Thursday before making his court appearance in Lautoka on July 27.
A bail is still being sought by Bradley’s attorney.
The Turtle Island Resort provided the following statement to The Sun when contacted on Tuesday:
“We can disclose that on July 9th, there was an altercation between a couple at the Island that had a fatal outcome and led to charges being brought.
The police conducted a thorough investigation and have since left the island. We totally cooperated with them.
“We are profoundly grieved by the situation and express our sincere sympathies to Ms Chen’s family and friends,” the hotel concluded.
The pair lived in Memphis’ Cooper-Young neighbourhood.
Christe expressed her excitement for her vacation to Fiji to her neighbour before they left for their blissful honeymoon, according to FOX13.
Bradley was employed by a non-profit in their IT division, while Christe was a pharmacist at Kroger.
The non-profit, Youth Villages, has suspended Bradley in light of the murder investigation “waiting further information,” according to a statement FOX13 was able to get.
