Elon Musk, the inventor of SpaceX and a business billionaire; has said that he will not complete the purchase of Twitter because the social media company; did not provide information concerning false accounts.

Elon Musk’s legal team claimed in a filing to the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Friday; that the well-known social media company had broken their agreement by making false claims during negotiations. They claimed that Elon Musk wanted the information regarding spam accounts on the platform; to make a “independent assessment” of the problem.

It said that Twitter rejected Musk’s requests and even disregarded them; for what seemed to be illogical reasons. Additionally, it claimed that the social networking business; had materially broken the terms of the contract.

Bret Taylor, the chairman of Twitter, stated that the Board is dedicated to completing the merger; at the price and terms set out with Elon Musk, and that it intends to take legal action; to enforce the merger agreement. According to sources, the pact also includes a $1 billion break-up fee.

A day after the Telsa CEO’s warning, the microblogging platform has urged its staff; not to comment on the $44 billion transaction.

The senior businessperson previously made suggestions about changing the social media platform; to include new features and open-source algorithms that would counter spam bots.
