Earlier, there was a doubt that the player has been diagnosed with the virus.

Ramiz Raja talked to media in Lahore. He said Hales may have grabbed the virus.

“All broadcasters, franchise, and others involved in the PSL will be undergoing coronavirus scanning, as news is coming right now that maybe Alex Hales is having symptoms and is undergoing tests.”

“It was unfortunate, the decision has been made,”

Ramiz Raja insisted people quarantine themselves for two weeks at home to avoid the spread.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Executive Officer (CEO) Wasim Khan told that an oversees player developed the virus and he had left the country.

“An overseas player who had the symptoms has already left Pakistan,” Wasim said. “The PSL 2020 was postponed due to this development,” he added.

Hales this year scored 239 runs at an average of 59.75 and a strike rate of 156.20 with two half-centuries for the Kings. His highest score was 80 not out.

The Englishman tweeted before departing for England: “Not the way I envisaged my PSL to come to an end, but I want to thank all of the Karachi Kings family and the whole of Pakistan for a really enjoyable month. Hopefully, we can lift the trophy on Wednesday and I look forward to coming back next year, fingers crossed!”
