Christie Brinkley had a magical reason to celebrate over the 4th of July long weekend, as it also marked her daughter Sailor Brinkley Cook’s birthday.
The famous beauty shared a tonne of throwback photos on her social media profile in honour of her daughter’s special day, many of which featured lovely infant pics.

The picture of the young model shaking the water out of her hair while wearing a one-piece swimsuit particularly caught my eye because she looked just as stunning as her supermodel mother.
“Happy Birthday Sailor. Strong, kind, compassionate, smart, fun, kind, creative. May you sail every harbor with joy as your cargo and big dreams as your fuel. I love you,” she sweetly penned.
Christie even released a private home video of the two of them during their time together in the kitchen of her opulent Hamptons home, when the 68-year-old sang Sailor a song.
The 24-year-old has continued her mother’s modelling career, and the two are very close. With her second husband Billy Joel, Christie has a daughter named Alexa Ray Joel; with her third husband Richard Tubman, she has a son named Jack; and with her most recent husband, Peter Cook, she has a daughter named Sailor.
In addition, Christie shared a recent video of herself wearing a one-piece on the beach to demonstrate to the public how it was done.
She strutted toward the camera carrying her straw hat and beach slippers while flaunting her toned figure in a fuchsia outfit and a white cover-up robe.
In honour of the long weekend, she sent a poem-filled message of empowerment, writing: “Songbirds and the sea, refresh me after a great trip to Napa Valley.

“Then a few days in the mountains where I made some new friends I can’t wait to return to #aspenideas fest again! Now back in the Hamptons I jump in the sea, and I find that the oceans where I feel most like me.”
