PUL-E-KHUMRI, Afghanistan: A car collided with a truck in Pul-e-Khumri, the capital of northern Baghlan province on Thursday, causing four fatalities and nine injuries, according to a statement released by the Traffic Police here on Friday.

The fatal accident occurred in the Sang-e-Sorakh region outside of the province’s capital, Pul-e-Khumri, on Thursday afternoon, leaving four people, including the driver, dead and nine others injured, according to the statement.
On Wednesday, a similar road tragedy in the western province of Herat claimed one life and injured ten others.
