The National Information Technology Board is looking for a new Director-General. The Ministry of Information Technology has come up with a shortlist of three potential candidates.
According to rumours that have been circulating. The Ministry of IT is rumored to have mentioned Mohammad Imran Hyder, Toufeeque Ahmad, and Khurram Khan to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat as potential candidates for the job. Other names that have been rumoured to have been mentioned include Khurram Khan.
In order for the National Infrastructure and Technology Board (NITB) to be able to designate a senior official from the ISI to serve as an ex-officio member of the board, the government must first give its consent for the nomination.
Only 13 participants out of a total of 313 applicants were selected to take part in an interview with the panel of four people that had been assembled by the ministry.
The candidates were judged by the selection committee in accordance with the criteria, which consisted of academic achievement, character, leadership, experience relevance, and future vision. The candidates were scored according to the criterion that was established. The members of the selection committee took into consideration the prior experiences of the candidates. as well as the degree to which those experiences were pertinent to the post for which they were applying.
The present Director General of the NITB will see the end of their tenure serving in that capacity on July 2, 2022, the date on which the employment agreement they are now bound by will expire.
