When the Russian Ka-52 “Alligator” helicopter was getting close to Snake Island over the Black Sea, the Ukrainian military shot it down.

The South Operational Command posted the pertinent message on Facebook, an

Between Snake Island and the Odesa gas condensate field, “the day before, one of four helicopters, maybe Ka-52, which was approaching Snake Island in the evening, was hit and fell into the water,” according to the report.

The Russians attempted to organise a rescue effort, but their helicopter joined the earlier-sunken missile cruiser Moskva, according to the South Operational Command.

Russian forces twice launched Su-35 fighter attacks against the Black Sea coast area south of the Odesa Region in an effort to lessen the intensity of the Ukraine Army’s rocket and artillery assault on Snake Island. Three Kh-31D missiles were fired by the adversary aircraft. Damage or casualties were not reported.

The enemy’s naval force in the Black Sea now consists of two missile ships and two sizable landing craft. They keep a safe distance as they continue to blockade the northern Black Sea because the destruction of Russia’s air defence on Snake Island made them more vulnerable.
