Javed Afridi, the owner of Peshawar Zalmi and a key stakeholder in MG Motors in Pakistan, has teased the arrival of the MG 3.
Javed Afridi shared a video of the MG 3 on Facebook, mention that the vehicle’s launch was nearing completion.
The entrepreneur also mentioned that the MG 3 will be priced under Rs. 2 million in Pakistan, which seems surprising in today’s economy given that the vehicle has a 1.5-litre engine and competes directly with the popular Suzuki Swift, which starts at Rs. 2,774,000.
Furthermore, Javed Afridi has a habit of making big claims about a variety of things but never following through on them. The introduction of the MG 3 in Pakistan appears to be one of them, as MG Pakistan has yet to sell locally assembled vehicles in the country.

Previously, the Pakistani entrepreneur shared a specification sheet for the MG 3 hatchback, giving us an idea of what we can expect from the vehicle when it arrives in Pakistan. The MG 3 has two engine options: a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 105 hp and 137 Nm of torque, and another 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 109 hp and 150 Nm of torque.

One of the MG 3 variants comes with a 5-speed manual transmission while the other one is equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission.
