PTI seeks security during Imran Khan’s visit to Lahore

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has requested security during the visit of former prime minister Imran Khan to Lahore for election campaigning.

PTI has written a letter to CCPO Lahore seeking security for Imran Khan tomorrow (Sunday) from 4 pm to 10 pm during his visit to the provincial capital.

Imran Khan will address public gatherings at four places in Lahore tomorrow in connection with the by-elections. He will campaign in PP-168, PP-167, PP-170 and PP-158 constituencies in connection with the by-polls.

Imran Khan has decided to give a tough time to dissident members in the upcoming Punjab Assembly by-elections. He has directed the party leadership to mobilize party workers in the constituencies.

The final schedule of Imran Khan’s visit to Lahore has also been released by the party. He will campaign for the by-election and address the Worker’s Convention.

He will also visit the constituencies of the dissident party lawmakers who were de-seated by the Election Commission of Pakistan.

Imran Khan will address a public meeting on Ashiana Road in PP-168, followed by another address on Hali Road in PP-158 Gulberg. Later, in PP-170, he will give address a rally at Abu Bakar Chowk in WAPDA Town and in PP-167, he will give address party activists in Umar Chowk.

The by-polls on 20 vacant seats of the Punjab Assembly are being held on July 17.
