Mariupol’s mayor, Vadym Boychenko, said that Russian-controlled areas of the city are plagued by garbage piles and poor sanitation.

An epidemic disaster is imminent in Mariupol. The city is a cesspool of filth and disease. Cholera and dysentery are two of the infectious illnesses that have recently expanded over the world. Even though there is no sewage treatment infrastructure in place, people still bury their dead in the ground. It’s unsafe to consume the water here.

Mountains of uncollected rubbish are added to this. All this puts the lives and health of Mariupol residents at risk, who find themselves in a real ghetto.”

There is going to be a major outbreak of disease in Mariupol. The city is filthy in every way. The likes of cholera and dysentery are on the rise. No locations have a functional sewage system, and people are instead buried under the ground. The lack of potable water is a serious problem.

As a result, the risk of spreading infectious diseases increases. According to Boychenko, we must immediately do all possible to allow Mariupol citizens to evacuate the city in the direction of Ukraine-controlled territory.
