LAHORE: According to Asad Rauf, a prominent former international umpire in Pakistan, doing second-hand business was painted in a negative light on social media.

In an exclusive interview with BOL News, the former umpire denied all the rumours about the videos that went viral yesterday of Asad Rauf working in Linde Bazaar.

He said that it was wrong to say that I am working in Linde Bazaar because of poverty. I run a business selling high-quality second-hand items in Linde Bazaar.

Asad Rauf said, “It is not the case that I start selling the things I order. I have my own warehouse, they process and sell everything there.”

“I have been in this business for 35 years. Imported things are not for everyone here,” he added. I have original items of the best brands available in the best quality.

The former umpire said that no one feels ashamed in the second-hand business and the wrong colour is being given on social media.

Asad Rauf said about the controversies in his career that during the IPL in India, false allegations were made against him which were not proved.

He said that this could not happen that disputes weren’t raised between India and Pakistan. The same was done with me. I was sued by a girl who apologised for blaming me on her stepmother’s direction.

“I quit umpiring at the age of 57 because my hearing was declining,” Asad Rauf added.
