After mentioning his late father Luke Perry, Christian Cage makes sure that his battle with Jungle Boy is as civil as it can be.

The Riverdale actor’s son, whose real name is Jack Perry, wrestles for All Elite Wrestling. The WWE legend was his on-screen coach before betraying him in a dramatic plot last week on Dynamite.

He thought back on his acts from last night and made a reference to his rival’s late dad, who passed away in 2019. He had attacked Jungle Boy before confronting the rising star’s mother and sister.

I merely intended to give Jungle Boy’s mother the opportunity to apologize to me for giving birth to Jungle Boy, but she instead became irate. But here’s the thing: this is why I believe she is truly furious.

‘I think she saw her knight in shining armor go off into the sunset. I think she was a little sweet on Christian Cage, if you know what I mean. I think she wanted me to be Jungle Boy’s father.

‘Here’s the thing, I know Jungle Boy looked at me like a father figure, he sure did. But here’s the thing Jungle Boy, I never wanted to be your father, I never wanted to be your father figure. You have a father – but your father’s dead.’

Speaking as himself, Cage even implied that Luke would be “ashamed” of how his son had “turned out.”

He said, “That’s probably for the best, Jungle Boy, since he would be humiliated and mortified to see how you turned out.

He wouldn’t want to see you curled up like a ball at my feet, unwilling to stand up and fight back, because he would feel humiliated and ashamed! Enjoy your 25-year-old early retirement, Jungle Boy. Stay away!
