ZHENGHUA: The commissioning ceremony of the second P-054 / A frigate of the Pakistan Navy ship was held at Hudong Zhonghua Shipyard in China. Commodore Rashid Mehmood Sheikh was present as the special guest at the event, BOL News reports.

As per the details, PNS Taimur is equipped with the latest weapons, sensors, and an electronic warfare system. This ship will strengthen the naval capabilities of the Pakistan Navy as well as help in emerging challenges in the region and in the maritime sector.
“The addition of PNS Taimur will strengthen the maritime borders of the country,” the chief guest at the event says. He also admired the work of the China State Ship Building Corporation (CSSC), China Ship Trading Company (CSTC), and Hudong Zhonghua Shipyard.
The Deputy Director-General of Military Product Department China emphasized during his speech, “Pakistan and China are aware of the changing geographical and political environment and are taking effective steps to meet additional responsibilities and new challenges together.” He further said that the bond between the two countries is a pillar of peace and stability in the region.
