PM Shehbaz attributes Armed Forces for achieving goals of FATF

  • Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting at the Federal Cabinet.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting at the Federal Cabinet to discuss the political and economic situation of the country. PM Shehbaz attributed the Armed Forces of Pakistan and relevant agencies for achieving the goals of FATF.

 

He said that soon Pakistan will be on the white list from the grey List. He added that PTI’s baseless propaganda against national security agencies and their leaders is disgraceful.

As per sources, once again Finance Minister Miftah Ismail is under criticism over the fuel price hike, on which PM Shehbaz said that he will not defend him. PM Shehbaz asked Miftah to convince his colleagues about the hike in taxes and fuel prices.

 

However, Miftah indicated that the nation will get to hear good news very soon. He claimed that taxes were jacked up for the rich segment of the society.

Whereas, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif asked sharps questions from cabinet members regarding the resumption of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program. He said that the public graph of all parties has fallen due to the sharp rise in oil prices.
