Qatar Airways will resume flights to Namibia

  • The national airline of the State of Qatar will restart service to Windhoek on Saturday.
  • At the height of the Covid-19 outbreak two years ago, Qatar Airways cancelled flights to Namibia and a number of African countries.
  • The route will provide seamless connectivity for travellers to over 159 locations across Africa.

The national airline of the State of Qatar will restart service to Windhoek on Saturday, according to a statement issued by the airline on Tuesday.

At the height of the Covid-19 outbreak two years ago, Qatar Airways cancelled flights to Namibia and a number of African countries.

According to the announcement, the return of the Windhoek route is part of the airline’s plan to add more flights to Africa so that passengers can easily connect between flights.

After the inauguration, the Windhoek route will provide seamless connectivity for travellers to over 159 locations in the airline’s broad global network, including Europe, via more than 200 weekly flights to 31 African hubs.

The national airline of Qatar will fly three weekly nonstop flights to and from Windhoek via Hamad International Airport, according to a statement.
