Emirates sees record booking levels from UAE in summer

  • Over 550,000 passengers expected to depart from the UAE on over 2,400 weekly network-wide departures between June and July.
  • Airline operating at near to 80% of its pre-pandemic capacity
  • over one million weekly seats, this summer.

As the travel industry recovers from the pandemic’s effects, Emirates is gearing up for its busiest summer yet, with over 550,000 passengers expected to depart from the UAE on over 2,400 weekly network-wide departures between June and July.

As it ramps up its summer schedule, the airline continues to add flights and frequencies whenever possible, and will be operating at near to 80% of its pre-pandemic capacity, or over one million weekly seats, this summer to meet demand.

As the summer holidays approach, daily booking volumes are increasing, and Emirates is advising customers who haven’t scheduled their vacations or made travel arrangements to do so now to ensure they can travel on their desired dates and flights.

Emirates’ six UK destinations, Cairo, Amman, Emirates’ nine Indian points, Manila, and Beirut, will all be visited by UAE travellers this year.

Travel from the UAE to Bangkok, Istanbul, Vienna, Zurich, Nice, Phuket, Singapore, Oslo, Kuala Lumpur, Brisbane, and the west coast of the US will be at an all-time high, with a large number of families and couples heading to these destinations for lengthy summer vacations.

Customers who use the airline’s biometric path in Terminal 3 for a contactless travel from certain check-in offices, Emirates lounges, and boarding gates may expect a quick experience.

For a better and frictionless airport experience, the airline has also launched various technology-centric services, such as self-check-in and bag drop kiosks at DXB. Customers on Emirates may now use one of 25 mobile check-in ports to acquire their boarding passes, weigh and tag their bags, and have any questions answered by check-in staff, reducing their wait time.

Customers from Ajman and the Northern Emirates can avoid the DXB lines by using the airline’s Ajman check-in facility, which is available 24 hours a day.

Emirates clients can board the airline’s bus service, which currently runs five times a day, from Abu Dhabi.
