ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: PTI workers came out in large numbers to protest against the rising inflation and increase in petroleum despite the obstacles being placed by the government.

In Karachi, a heavy contingent of police personnel were present on the Main Shahrah-e-Quaideen and had blocked the road leading to Shahrah-e-Faisal.

Former governor Sindh Imran Ismail and other members of the PTI’s local leadership led the protest.

He allegedly that Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah was using the police force to settle political scores. He claimed they had sought prior permission from Deputy Commissioner for holding the protests.

In Hyderabad, a screen has been set up in front of Press Club where a large number on party workers gathered. The activists said they are with Imran Khan every step of the way and the “imported government” has started economic massacre.

They said inflation will not be accepted under any circumstances and they will complete Imran Khan’s mission.

In Mirpukhas, authorities prevented the PTI from hosting screens to telecast the PTI chairman’s address.

PTI Mirpurkhas vice president Aftab Qureshi said that the local administration has stopped from installing a screen at Office Chowk to live telecast Imran Khan’s address to the protestors.

In Islamabad, the main protest demonstration was staged in F-9 Park although PTI workers faced immense trouble reaching there due to heavy rainfall. Many brazen the downpour to register their protest.

In Rawalpindi, large screens were installed in Lal Haveli and Commercial Market on the call of Chairman PTI Imran Khan. Former Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid reached Lal to address a public meeting.

PTI Rawalpindi District has organized a protest rally in Commercial Market. Former Punjab Assembly MPA Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan was present.

Large crowds also gathered in Peshawar, Abbottabad, Mardan and other cities to protest against the government.

In Peshawar, the protest was staged in front of the main Hashtnagri Gate as party workers chanted slogans against the government.
