Imran Khan to announce future course of action tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will future strategy in tomorrow’s (Sunday) protest against inflation and rising prices.

The former prime minister on Saturday held an important meeting of the party spokespersons to discuss the party call for protests against inflation along with other issues.

The meeting paid tribute to former prime minister Imran Khan for his efforts for the milestone after Pakistan edged closer to being removed from the grey list by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

The meeting also discussed the economic destruction by the “imported” government and the imposition of crushing inflation on the masses with the exorbitant raise in the price of electricity, oil and gas.

They also discussed the party’s call to hold peaceful protests across the country on June 19 (tomorrow) at 9PM against the prices in prices of essential goods.

PTI chairman Imran Khan said the PTI government protected the people as a shield during the pandemic and epidemic and global inflation.

“The looters have placed the nation at stake to fill their coffers and the masses are suffering from massive inflation,” he said. “Those who have properties abroad have no concern for the people’s welfare.”

He said they will decide the future course of action together with the nation after the public protest tomorrow. He said no one can stop the people from raising their voice for their rights in the face of oppression.

“The events of the last two months have fully exposed every character of the conspiracy and their intentions,” he said, that the government was concerns about their vested interests to safeguard their corruption.

The meeting expressed grave concern over the destruction of institutions by the government. It also discussed the deterioration of relations with friendly countries and appeasing the demands of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

During the meeting, the prime minister congratulated the members of the coordinating committee on Financial Action Task Force (FATF). The meeting discussed the nationwide protest against the government and rising inflation.

It also expressed deep concern over the failure of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to hold peaceful elections in Karachi by-polls and complete disconnect of the masses.

The meeting expressed grave concern over reports of deprivation of health cards provided to citizens by PTI. The participants of the meeting strongly condemned the harassment of citizens on social media

It also reviewed the conspiracy to roll back the integration of FATA with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and reduction of funds by 50 percent for the tribal regions in the budget.
