Dua Zahra’s father Mehdi Kazmi filed a petition in Supreme Court (SC) against the Sindh High Court (SHC) decision regarding the abduction case of the teenager – who went missing from her residence in April.
As per details, the petition holds that the Sindh High Court on June 8, 2022, ordered Dua Zahra to decide according to her choice and the decision was made on the basis of Dua Zahra’s statement and medical test.
It was presented in the plea that in National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) data and educational credentials Dua’s age is 14 years.

Police have submitted the challan of the case in the trial court in class C, where it is mentioned that the ruling passed by the SHC was not accurate. As per sources, an immediate hearing has also been filed by the petitioner and the petition is expected to be heard next week.
Earlier, Dua Zehra went missing from her residence in Karachi and an abduction report was registered. Later, the girl was found in Lahore and married Zaheer Ahmed.
The twisting turn left the nation shocked as the girl in a video message alleged that she left her parents willingly and claimed that her age is 17 years. However, the parents from the outset have been claiming that the girl is nearly 14 and she has been giving statements under pressure.
The SHC is an upsetting turn for her parents announced the verdict and led Dua free to decide on her future. The girl later appeared in n interview along with her husband and depicted a happy life.
