LAHORE: Energy saving plan to be enforced in Punjab following Sindh in the wake of recent energy crisis across the country, reported BOL News quoting sources privy to the matter.
As per details, the consultations in this regard have been concluded with the Lahore Business Associations and Chambers and the energy saving plan would be implemented next week across Punjab.
It was also reported that the plan also holds to shutter off the markets early in the morning and will be closed by 9pm daily adding that pharmacies, bakeries and petrol pumps are exempted from the orders.
In the first phase, the restriction will be implemented for two months across the province while further plans will be announced after July and August.

Lahore Chamber and Federation have agreed to support the government in the energy-saving plan adding that it is the responsibility of the nation to save petrol and electricity.
Earlier, the Sindh government announced the closure of markets by 9pm across the province. New working hours for the business
community in Karachi were announced to save energy and a notification in this regard was also issued by Home Department.
The notification holds that the markets will be closed by 9pm daily while the marriage halls at 10:30 pm and the restaurants will keep functioning till 11pm.
However, milk shops, bakeries and carriage vehicles for dairy products have been exempted from timing restrictions as per the notification.
