Big E provides a positive update on his critical neck injury

Big E on his present situation, with the former WWE Champion posting a favourable update on social media about his broken neck.

The horrible injury occurred during a match with Ridge Holland on the 11th March edition of SmackDown. The Yorkshireman gave E a Belly-to-Belly suplex when he tumbled to the outside. Big E, on the other hand, fell on his head and neck rather than flipping all the way over and resting on his back.

The New Day member suffered a C1 and fracture in the harrowing event, and while no damage was done to his spinal cord, E disclosed last month that his recuperation was taking longer than he expected.

Big E shared a story on his Instagram account showing him putting his neck brace into the garbage, perhaps signalling that he would no longer need to wear it.

The tweet comes only a week after E made his first public appearance after his accident, when he went to a Tampa Bay Lightning hockey game with fellow WWE star Titus O’Neil. The former WWE champion is plainly visible wearing the neck brace in those photographs, but it appears that this is no longer the case.

There is currently no definite timeline for Big E’s return to WWE or whether he will be able to compete at the same level he did previously. This recent update, however, is a positive indication on his road to recovery.

The New Day were still feuding with Holland and the rest of the Brawling Brutes, but Sheamus’ bout with Drew McIntyre on this week’s SmackDown may have ultimately pulled the two factions apart.
