Will Smith is preparing for a massive new cinematic return following his Oscar snub

  • Will Smith is apparently preparing a dramatic onscreen comeback after slamming Chris Rock at the Oscars in 2022.
  • The King Richard star, who got in hot water for his irresponsible behaviour at the renowned event, is apparently planning a comeback with I Am Legend 2.
  • According to The Sun, Smith’s role is mentioned in the film’s script.

According to a source, the film’s premise is “yet to be approved off by Warner Brothers, but there has been no indication that Will is off the project.”

“Obviously, he is the film’s producer, and his production firm is in control while development is ongoing,” the person explained.

“The truth is that Will will return at some point; the only issue is which studio will take a chance on him.”

“The public’s negative perceptions of his profession have certainly lessened in recent weeks as the world has moved on as a result of stories like the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial,” the insider added.

“And Will is getting therapy and moving away from the spotlight.”

“Certainly Hollywood likes comeback stories where performers who appear to be done with the profession bounce back with a huge project, such as with Robert Downey Junior, Mel Gibson, Drew Barrymore, and Winona Ryder,” a source told the site.

“Things may look quite different in two years – and Will could return to the screen.”
