KARACHI: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed grief over the sad demise of Member National Assembly and media personality Aamir Liaquat Hussain who was found dead at his residence today.

PM Shehbaz Sharif extended prayers for the deceased soul and the mourning family members.

Besides, former interior minister Sheikh Rashid and former governor Imran Ismail also expressed grief over the shock demise of the television host.

“Saddened to hear the news of the sad demise of Aamir Liaquat, had a good relationship with him,” said Imran Ismail.

He also said that the NA member played his role in the political journey with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Sheikh Rashid also took to his Twitter to share sorrow over the death of Aamir Liaquat and extended prayers for the family.

PTI leaders Faisal Javed and Fayyaz ul Hassan also shared grief over the news.

Aamir Liaquat Hussain was found dead at his residence, confirmed administration of a private hospital.

The deceased was taken to a private hospital after being found unconscious by the police officials at his residence. The reason for his death has not been disclosed by the doctors.

Aamir Liaquat was born on July 5, 1971. He was elected as Member National Assembly in 2002, later he took oath as a religious minister during General (retd) Pervaiz Musharraf’s regime.

Hussain once again became MNA after the 2018 elections on the ticket of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
