Sangeeta Jee is the first female director in Pakistan. Throughout her career, she directed a number of films. She began as a leading actress and then became a director, making a name for herself in both professions. She is still quite busy in the industry, and we have seen her in a few plays and films.
She confessed that she was a huge Raj Kapoor admirer and had followed in his footsteps professionally. Raj Kapoor once invited her to his table at a film festival in Tashkent and offered her a role in the film Prem Rog. The play was subsequently played by Padmini Kolhapuri, the aunt of current actress Shraddha Kapoor.
