As seismologists evaluate data and update their estimations, or as other agencies issue their reports, the actual magnitude, epicentre, and depth of the quake may be altered in the coming hours or minutes.

The earthquake was eventually classified as a magnitude 5.3 earthquake by France’s Reseau National de Surveillance Sismique (ReNaSS).

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported a magnitude 5.7 earthquake, and RaspberryShake’s citizen-seismograph network reported a magnitude 5.6 earthquake.

As per preliminary seismic data, the quake was likely felt by a large number of people in the epicentre area. Other than goods tumbling from shelves, shattered windows, and so on, it should not have caused substantial damage.
