Ukraine is not yet prepared to explore grain exports via Belarus. “As for Belarusians, this is public knowledge. We were offered the opportunity to go by train through Belarus. Yes. On June 6, President Volodymyr Zelensky warned journalists, “We are not ready to operate in this format and support our ‘friendly’ neighbours.”

Denys Shmyhal, Ukraine’s prime minister, earlier accused Russia of deliberately exacerbating the global food crisis, criticised the blockade of Ukrainian ports, and urged the UN and international allies to take decisive concerted action to address these difficulties.
The occupants stole Ukrainian grain in the temporarily controlled territory, according to Ukraine’s Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food. Stolen grain is shipped to Russia (mostly from the provinces of Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Luhansk) or through the temporarily held Crimea (from Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions).
