- Texas Gov. Greg Abbott instructed the ALERRT Center to give active shooter training to school districts across the state.
- This training must commence before the start of the following school year.
- The governor also authorized school safety personnel to undertake “unannounced, random intruder detection audits”.
In response to the South Street mass shooting over the weekend, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner doubled down on his criticism of the National Rifle Association NRA.
Krasner briefly addressed the shooting on South Street, during a pre-scheduled press conference. To announce Timothy Barnes’ conviction for the 2018 highway shooting murder of Tyisha Timmons.
“I went to the shooting location the morning after to see what was there, and it was terrifying,” Krasner recalled.
” However we have reached a point where it is enough, “where any legislator who accepts direct or indirect donations from the NRA gun lobby, Any legislator who has a high rating with the National Rifle Association.

“I don’t care if they’re Republicans or Democrats. They belong on the outside, “Krasner tacked on.
Krasner stated that Joanne Pescatore, was on South Street with detectives from the Philadelphia Police Department because “they are continuing to make sure they have all of the video evidence they can possibly obtain.”
