With victory in the men’s wheelchair doubles at the French Open, Britain’s Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid won their 10th Grand Slam championship in a row.
On the Paris clay, the top seeds defeated Argentina’s Gustavo Fernandez and Japan’s Shingo Kunieda 7-6 (7-5) 7-6 (7-5)
For the previous three years, the duo has won the doubles crown at Roland Garros, as well as the Australian Open earlier this year.

Since Wimbledon in 2019, Hewett and Reid have not lost a Slam final together.
The match was supposed to take place on Saturday, but it was postponed due to weather.
In 2021, Hewett and Reid won all four Slams in a calendar year, completing the calendar Grand Slam.
Since their first match at Wimbledon in 2016, they have won 15 Grand Slam titles together.

Hewett stated, “It was perhaps some of the best wheelchair tennis we could have put on today.”
“Now I’m excited for the upcoming grass-court season.”
