- National Hurricane Center reported flooding rain in sections of South Florida on Saturday as a storm swept across the state.
- In a tweet, the centre warned of “significant flash and urban floods” due to a potential tropical cyclone.

Florida Keys and the northwestern Bahamas are also predicted to experience flash floods. The storm has maximum sustained winds of 40 mph and is located around 45 miles south-southwest of Fort Myers. A tropical storm warning had been issued for Florida’s west coast, but it had been lifted.
Drivers are being advised to avoid flooded roadways by Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Miami-Dade County Emergency Management. In a tweet, the agency added, “Watch out for water of unknown depth — it only takes 6 inches of flowing water to knock over a person.” “TurnAroundDontDrown! #StormReadySoFla if you can’t see the road!”
