As per details, a group of terrorists raided the security checkpoint in the area of Datakhel.

The attack was effectively thwarted back by the Pakistan Army soldiers. However, 28-year-old Sepoy Hamid Ali embraced martyrdom during the fight.

Earlier, two soldiers embraced martyrdom in April when terrorists fired upon security forces in the Sararogha area of South Waziristan district.

Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa also said that the real national heroes were the Shuhada and Ghazis, and the nations which forget their Shuhada and heroes cease to exist.

“Now it is our responsibility to look after parents, families of Shuhada, which we have been doing and will continue to do so,” Gen Bajwa said.

He expressed these views while addressing the GHQ Investiture ceremony held at the General Headquarters on 19th May in Rawalpindi.
