The Prime Minister and leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif chaired an emergency conference regarding recent power outages in the country. The unannounced load shedding in different residential areas of Pakistan has made the lives of the citizens miserable. The Prime Minister expressed his anger over continuous power cut.
According to the sources, the Prime Minister directed to take all possible steps to reduce the electricity shortfall issue. He instructed the concerned officials in this regards and said that it is their responsibility to solve this problem immediately.
He said that the short term and long term policies should be prepared to end power crisis in the country. The Short term strategies should immediately reduce the duration of load shedding and long term measures to work on cheap and abundant power generation projects.
The meeting viewed the causes, triggers of load shedding and measures to prevent it. Whereas PML-N leaders Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Muftah Ismail, Dr Musadik Malik and other members attended the important meeting.
Previously, Shehbaz Sharif warned his predecessor Imran Khan not to cross limits by giving statements about the split of the country.
In a tweet, he said, “Do your politics, but don’t dare to cross limits and talk about division of Pakistan.”
PM Sharif mentioned that as he was making accords with Turkey aimed at bringing prosperity to Pakistan while the PTI chief was issuing threats against Pakistan.
