CAIRO, Egypt, 3 June (Reuters) – According to a statement posted on Facebook by the Central Committee of Sudanese Doctors, a protester died from a gunshot wound to the chest sustained during demonstrations in Sudan’s capital, Khartoum, on Friday.
The demonstrations on Friday follow Sudan’s military ruler’s announcement on May 29 that the state of emergency imposed after an October coup had been lifted.
