In a phone interview, White House Latin America adviser Juan Gonzalez said, “We still have some final thoughts; but we will, I believe, educate people publicly soon.”

After weeks of tension over numerous countries likely to be excluded; senior US officials confirmed on Wednesday that they are still working on a final guest list for next week’s Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles.
The potential of an embarrassing boycott by several regional leaders, notably Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador; if Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua are not invited, has hampered summit preparations.
In a conference call with reporters, White House Latin America adviser Juan Gonzalez stated; “We still have some final thoughts, but we will, I believe, educate people publicly soon.”
