The Turkish president has announced a break in talks; citing a disagreement with Greece’s prime minister as well as what Ankara claims are airspace infractions.

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced that discussions with Greece have been suspended; citing a disagreement with Greece’s prime minister as well as what Ankara claims are airspace violations; marking the latest reversal in the neighbours’ tumultuous relationship.
Following a five-year hiatus, the two NATO allies started discussions last year to resolve their disputes in the Mediterranean Sea as well as other bilateral matters. The negotiations have stalled, and the two countries have repeatedly spat barbs.
Erdogan said on Wednesday that Turkey had cancelled the High-Level Strategic Council, a bilateral cooperation forum with Greece.
