Berlin will deliver IRIS-T missiles and a radar equipment to help defend against Russian assaults, according to Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced that Germany will equip Ukraine with the IRIS-T advanced air defence and radar systems; boosting up armament sales amid complaints that Berlin is not doing enough to assist Kyiv in its struggle against Russia.

“The administration has chosen to deliver the IRIS-T system; which is the most modern system Germany currently has,” German Chancellor Angela Merkel told parliament.
According to Scholz, the IRIS-T missiles were developed in collaboration with other NATO states, and Berlin will be “sending more weaponry” to Ukraine.
