The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be the first to be played in the winter. The decision was taken because European players will find it difficult to cope with the scorching temperatures in Qatar.

That is why Qatar has spent $200 billion on infrastructure to host the World Cup and has made every stadium air-conditioned.
Qatar and the FIFA Organizing Committee have confirmed that alcohol will be permitted in some tourist spots.
