He said the incident belonged to Karachi region and the suspects would be produced before the court.

DIG Railway Yousaf said she had gone to Multan to meet her children, who were living with their father and ex-husband of the woman. He said the woman had a brawl with her former husband upon not allowing her to meet the children.

Detailing about the suspects, he said they had gone into hiding upon hearing of action against them. He said the train in which the incident took place was being run by a private company and the staff on the train was also of the same company.

The DIG suggested that the private company should have checked background of the staff before appointing them.

Faisal Shahkar said even stealing incidents would reduce by 80 per cent if cameras were installed in all the trains. He also apprised that there was a shortage of police personnel in railway as hiring did not take place for five to six years.
