GUJRANWALA: In what could be described as a barbaric act of violence, a man was mob lynched at Gujranwala on the allegation of bike theft on Tuesday, Bol News reported.
The man was beaten to death by the mob with whatever they could get their hands on, according to the video.
According to the Bol News report, the local police did an act of negligence and took the deceased soul to the police station instead of the nearest hospital.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Ashraf. He succumbed to death because of his wounds, police told the media.
According to police officials, 14 people were arrested for torturing Mohammad Ashraf to death.
For negligence, a case was registered against ASI Wahid Ullah and three other policemen.
“14 people are already arrested for the incident and police personnel will also face the consequences for carelessness,” police officials told Bol News.
