As the hunt for survivors continued on Friday, state news agency IRNA reported that at least 24 people were murdered; in the fall of a 10-story building in the Iranian city of Abadan on Monday.

The Iranian Red Crescent stated at least 80 people were trapped under the rubble; and five individuals were murdered in the early aftermath of the tragedy. Since then, the death toll has been gradually growing. According to IRNA, the deputy governor of Khuzestan province, Ehsan Abbas Pour, said it was unclear how many people might be trapped beneath the rubble.
Thirty-seven individuals have been hurt, according to IRNA.Rescue crews at the site were seen removing rubble and debris from a demolished building in videos and photos published by the Iranian Red Crescent on Monday. As the rescue mission progressed, the group reported one helicopter, 12 personnel, and sniffer dogs were despatched.
“Adjacent structures adjacent are likewise in unstable circumstances and are in danger of collapsing,” it said at the time.
