Army forces and rescue teams were on their way to the crash scene; which is thought to be near Lete, a village in Mustang region, according to army spokesman Narayan Silwal.

Officials reported that rescuers have narrowed in on a likely location for a passenger plane; carrying 22 people that crashed in hazy weather in Nepal’s highlands on Sunday.
The Tara Air plane took off from the tourist town of Pokhara, 200 kilometres (125 miles) east of Kathmandu, on a 20-minute scheduled flight to the mountain village of Jomsom.
Close to landing in an area of deep river gorges and mountaintops, the turboprop Twin Otter aircraft lost touch with the airport tower. The search included an army aircraft as well as commercial helicopters, according to a statement from Nepal’s Civil Aviation Authority.
