Chief Minister of Punjab and leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Hamza Shahbaz congratulates newly elected officials of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE). He wished President Kazim Khan, Senior Vice President Ayaz Khan, Secretary-General Amir Mahmood and other newly-designated officers.

Hamza Shahbaz conveyed good wishes to the newly appointed and said PML-N believes in freedom of expression. The importance of independent and responsible journalism in a democracy is obvious. He hopes that the appointed candidates will continue to play a positive role in solving the problems of the media industry.

Previously, he made a huge decision by announcing a complete ban on rallies in Greater Iqbal Park. While approving the ban on power shows he said that it is not appropriate to use the historical park for rallies and public gatherings. He has also rejected the proposal to levy entrance fees at the park. Hamza Shahbaz said that is a place for poor people and he cannot charge a fee at any cost.
