The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned four accused in the assets beyond means case of Farhat Shehzadi alias Farah Khan, a close friend of former first lady Bushra Bibi.
Those who have been issued including the manager, cashier and bankers of Farah Khan and they have been directed to appear before the NAB Lahore on May 30 along with the relevant records.
Sources claimed that Director-General (DG) NAB Lahore has approved the notices to summon the people – Mazahir Baig, Waqar, Asif and Munir – in the case.
On May 2, 2022, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore decided to write letters to the concerned departments to get the record against Farah Khan, a close aide of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi.
Sources privy to the matter told BOL News that letters will be written regarding the details of assets of Farah Khan, Ahsan Jamil Gujjar, records will be sought from private banks including FBR, Security Exchange, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
Sources said that details of Farah Khan’s dollars and pounds accounts and a report from the Financial Monitoring Unit will also be sought from SBP regarding Farah Khan’s accounts.
NAB Chairperson Justice (retd) Javaid Iqbal gave the approval for inquiry against Khan, who is also known Farah Gogi, in a high-level meeting held today, he also directed the NAB Lahore to initiate proceedings as according to law.
Farah Khan is accused of money laundering and making asset beyond means, said an official NAB spokesperson.

He added that Khan has frequently travelled abroad during the previous government of Imran Khan – including nine visits each to the United States of America and United Arab Emirates.
The NAB has also alleged that as many as Rs847 million were transferred to Farah Khan’s personal account in the last three years. Khan has not yet given her version on the NAB’s statement.
