Chace Crawford on repeating his role in the revival of Gossip Girl: Now I’m too old for it.

Chace Crawford on repeating his role in the revival of Gossip Girl: Now I’m too old for it.

Nate Archibald, better known as Chace Crawford, the actor who played him, recently said that he believes he is too ‘aged’ to star in the relaunch of Gossip Girl. While Crawford’s Nate Archibald was engulfed in Manhattan’s social whirlwind, his mature responsibilities on Amazon’s The Boys have resulted in a snarky, pretentious superman.

However, Pinkvilla attended The Boys’ Virtual Press Day ahead of the third season’s release, and during the roundtable discussions, my 16-year-old Gossip Girl fan couldn’t help but ask Chace if Nate Archibald will make a cameo appearance in the Reboot.

While we can’t deny that seeing him reprise his role will be a joy for us, Chace believes otherwise. “I don’t know, it’s been ten years,” he remarked. Even if he reprises his part, he said, “it’ll be like, SPOTTED: going to bed at 9:30 PM.” He also stated, “I’m too old for it now, and I’ll let the new people do their thing.”

Meanwhile, Crawford played as Nate Archibald in the original Gossip Girl series, which aired from 2007 to 2012, and was a crucial component of the series’ core friendship circle, which included Blake Lively, Ed Westwick, Leighton Meester, and Penn Badgley.

Last year, HBO broadcasted the much awaited revival of the famous series, which included a new young ensemble and Kristen Bell resuming her role as the bizarrely cruel blogger.

Despite the fact that their names have been synonymous with the Gossip Girl franchise over the years, Crawford and the other original cast members were not involved with the new series. However, the new Upper East Siders made several references to their personas.
