Imran Khan and Azadi March ultimately reach Islamabad & heading towards D-Chowk

Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and his Azaadi March having crossed all hindrances have reached Islamabd and are heading towards D-Chowk, and defied the challenge of Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, who had claimed that he would not allow Imran Khan to enter Islamabad.

Thousands of emotional and passionate workers and supporters would warmly welcome their beloved leader Imran Khan and its caravan.

However, police resorted to severe tear gas and reportedly used rubber bullets to disperse the PTI workers. The activists scattered for some time and gathered again. This hide and seek play had been continuing.

Earlier addressing the march participants in Swabi, on Wednesday, Imran Khan said that they would reach D-Chowk Islamabad to protest peacefully following the lines of law and order.

He questioned the tear gas shelling at the activists of the march that on what basis his thunder has been stopped by the Punjab police.

He asserted with the determination that, “We will become an independent nation that rejected the imported government”.

“I urge all Pakistanis for the Haqeeqi Azadi, all women, children families, youth and lawyers should leave for the real Azadi of the country,” he added.

He was addressing the activists at the Swabi interchange holding the flag of Pakistan in hand.

Chairman PTI Imran Khan was accompanied by Shah Mahmood Qureshi who urged the crowd to remain peaceful throughout the protest.
