David Hogg, a Parkland school shooting survivor and proponent of gun reform, offered his condolences to the Uvalde community on Wednesday, stating in an interview that “there is no way to understand what occurred here.”
Hogg added, “It’s shock, again and again.”
Following the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, in 2019; Hogg has fought for stricter gun control legislation. In that shooting, seventeen persons were slain.
“I believe Americans are tired of the conflict and debate,” Hogg stated on Wednesday. “This has been debated since before I was born.” I was born a year after Columbine, and I’m here to speak with you.
