According to a law enforcement briefing, the kid who killed 19 children and two instructors in a mass shooting at a Texas elementary school obtained his pistols lawfully just days before the incident.
According to a state police briefing presented to Senator John Whitmire, Salvador Ramos purchased one AR-style rifle from a federally registered gun dealer in the Uvalde area on May 17th.
He bought 375 rounds of ammunition the next day and a second firearm on May 20.
According to the briefing, one of the guns was seized from Ramos’ truck and the other was discovered at the school.
Ramos was wearing a body-armor style vest with no reinforced plates inside when he dumped a rucksack with numerous magazines full of ammo at the school entrance, according to the report.
