Britain’s Queen Elizabeth attends Chelsea Flower Show

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth attends Chelsea Flower Show

LONDON, – On Monday, Queen Elizabeth attended the Chelsea Flower Show, the latest in a series of public appearances that have allayed public fears about her health ahead of a national commemoration of her seven decades on the throne.

The 96-year-old queen was chauffeured around the Royal Horticultural Society’s annual garden design festival in West London in a buggy, avoiding the need to stroll around the show’s attractions.

Britain will celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with four days of pomp and circumstance early next month. Buckingham Palace has previously stated that she plans to attend a variety of activities.

She made a surprise appearance at a new rail line’s opening ceremony in London last week, and she attended a horse exhibition in the grounds of her Windsor Castle the week before.

She skipped her annual address to parliament in May due to intermittent mobility concerns, according to the palace. Following a night in the hospital last October for an unidentified ailment, she had not been seen in public much until recently.
