Pakistan and Turkey are jointly in charge of the most anticipated cross-border project.
A few months ago, Pakistan’s and Turkey’s biggest media corporations revealed intentions to co-produce a television series based on the life of famed Muslim commander Salahuddin Eyyubi.
Ansari Films (owned by Dr. Kashif Ansari) and Shah Films (owned by Dr. Junaid Ali Shah) in Pakistan and Emre Konuk, owner of Akli Films in Turkey, have signed a deal for the joint entertainment venture. This excellent project’s executive producers are the well-known actor Humayun Saeed and the well-known Adnan Siddiqui.
The period piece would be based on the life of Muslim Leader Sultan Salahuddin Eyyubi. Salahuddin Ayyub was an outstanding fighter. He was a Sunni-Muslim Kurd who established the Ayyubid Dynasty and became the first sultan of both Egypt and Syria. Salahuddin, popularly known as ‘Saladin’ in the West, is one of the world’s most recognised Muslim leaders.
Even before it is released, the series is attracting a lot of attention from all around the world. It will be shot in Turkey on historic sets created specifically for the series. And lately, Humayun Saeed, the executive producer of this magnificent series, provided insights into the production of the grand project as the massive sets for the drama are being organised.
