The number of microbusiness owners under the age of 35 has more than doubled since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
A research of more than two million microbusinesses has been conducted.
According to GoDaddy, in collaboration with the University of Kent, start-up owners under 35 accounted about 16.4 percent of microbusinesses before COVID-19.
That number has now grown to 34%.
The proportion of people aged 18-24 has increased dramatically, from 1.7 percent before the epidemic to 8.6 percent afterward.
There is also more diversity now, as the percentage of female microbusiness owners has increased from 32 percent before March 2020 to 39.8 percent in the months thereafter.
Moreover, the share of people from minority groups has risen from 13.2 percent to 15.1 percent.
